A trip to the Cuisine Noir Magazine’s “Behind the Business” National Conference in San Francisco, airline coverage, hotel accommodations, conference registrations, and feature in Cuisine Noir.

How It Works


Be able to make your signature beverage with Vodka or Bourbon. We will provide the alcohol...you provide the mixers and any garnish and tools that you require. Must prepare a drink for 30 people.


Register as a mixologist or represent a business for mixology.



We will provide a $100 gift card for purchase products. You must prepare a tapas size dish using a theme ingredient. Must prepare 30 tasting portions.


Register as a chef or represent a local restaurant.


Each category will have 3 semi final rounds. The winner from each round will compete in February for the championship round. The grand prize winners will be announced on February 10 at the Behind the Business East Conference at the Dominion Arts Center.

Criteria to Enter:
Must be at least 21 (mixology)
Must not have received any national awards for cooking or mixology.
$25 entry fee.
Registration ends June 15th.
